Northern Light Mayo Hospital is looking for full-time, experienced physician assistant to join their dynamic emergency department team in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.  Here we work together to achieve success to care for the patients of our communities and are well-positioned to face the challenges of health care today.   The right candidate would have at least five years of ED experience in a graduated program of supervision to provide an autonomous and independent level of practice as they may be required to work in a solo coverage environment.   Most of the shifts would be nights, but only three shifts per week is considered full time and incentives are provided for those who wish to do more.

We’re a 25 bed, non-profit, critical access hospital staffed with great nursing and clinical support and a team of primary care physicians and specialists including hospital-based inpatient physicians that provide coverage 24/7 (hospitalists), Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Urology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Psychiatry. Our Emergency Department handled over 10,000 visits last year and our ambulances & EMS responders bring the face of Mayo out into the community often when least expected but urgently needed.
