Per Diem General Surgery PA at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center New

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant to join our busy, growing practice in Bangor, Maine. The Physician Assistant will provide in-house coverage of General, Trauma, Vascular, ENT, Plastic, Urologic, Orthopedic, and Neurosurgical patients on the surgical unit as assigned by the Lead Physician of the practice in collaboration with the VP of Provider Services.

Responsibilities include evaluation, assessment, and implementation of treatment in collaboration with attending physicians and nursing staff. Direct collaboration/consultation via phone, digital media, or in-person with attending physicians and their respective call coverage will be available and accessible at all times.

This position does not include assisting in the operating room as part of the requirements. This is a great opportunity for a Physician Assistant who is looking for a change of pace or to expand their medical acumen. Experience is preferred; however, past surgical experience is not required and applicants that have worked in non-surgical settings are encouraged to apply.

Maine Physician Assistant and DEA Licenses (or immediate eligibility) required.
